The Minister of Defense of Ukraine was summoned to the Verkhovna Rada – as you know – Ukraine


People's elected officials had “a bunch of questions” for the Minister of Defense of Ukraine.

The Verkhovna Rada, on the initiative of the People's Deputy from “European Solidarity” Oleksiy Honcharenko, summoned Defense Minister Rustem Umyerov for a report.

People's deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak and Goncharenko himself announced this.

“The Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov was summoned to the Council regarding scandals about defense orders, in particular, mines,” Zheleznyak wrote.

Both People's Deputies noted that the initiative was supported by a procedural decision – 153 legislators voted “for”.

“So, Umerov should come to the parliament and report. What do we have with the landmines? What do we have with the 23 billion that they want to allocate it is unclear where. There are a lot of questions,” Goncharenko explained the reason for summoning the minister to the Rada.
