The Ministry of Energy warned of a threat at the station — Ukraine

The Zaporizhia nuclear power plant in the temporarily occupied Energodar was on the verge of blackout for the second time in a week due to Russian shelling.

This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Energy.

The department emphasizes that as a result of the Russian shelling, one of the two power lines of the ZNPP was de-energized. Currently, the station is connected to the Ukrainian power system by only one power transmission line.

“In the event of disconnection of the last line at the Zaporizhzhia station, another complete blackout will occur. This is a serious violation of the conditions of safe operation and threatens the development of an accident,” – the Ministry of Energy declares.

Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko insists on the immediate full implementation of the resolution on the return of the occupied station to the control of Ukraine.

In the meantime, the Energetics will start restoring full power supply…
