Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko reported how many police officers are participating in hostilities and why not all police can be sent to the front.
He told about this in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.
When asked how many percent of police officers are currently in the combat zone, Klymenko replied that it is about 10% of the total number, or about 10,000 people who are combatants and work on the front lines.
“In general, there are 40,000-45,000 police officers in the combat zone and frontline regions,” the minister noted, adding that they are engaged not only in security, but also in evacuation, guarding checkpoints, and performing other tasks that go beyond the scope of ordinary police work. .
