The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons discovered gas intended for mass destruction in soil from the sites of battles in Ukraine

Prohibition organization chemical weapons first discovered CS gas intended for mass destructionin samples of projectiles and soil from the war zone provided by Ukraine. Its presence is prohibited by the Convention on the Use of Chemical Weapons.

This is stated in the statement of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.

Samples for research selected after the incident that occurred on September 20, 2024 near the village of Illinka in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

“Analyses by organization-designated laboratories, conducted separately and independently of each other, confirm that the grenade and soil samples taken from the trench contain a substance … known as CS,” the statement said.
