The price of onions has fallen sharply in Ukraine
Sellers are forced to lower onion prices due to a significant decrease in demand in this segment.
After the recent price increase in Ukraine sale prices for onions decreased again.
This is reported by analysts of the EastFruit project.
Today, onion sales are in the range of UAH 10-16/kg, which is on average 16% cheaper than at the end of the last working week. Closer to the weekend, wholesale batches of onions in Ukraine are already being sold at prices inferior to the previous season.
As experts explained, sellers are forced to lower prices due to a significant decrease in demand in this segment.
At the same time, the quality of onions in storage is rapidly deteriorating, due to which its owners reduce the price in order to stimulate sales and sell off the available volumes of such products sooner.
