The Rada failed to pass the bill on “postal banks” – UNIAN
The bill was developed in pursuance of one of the points of the Memorandum with the IMF.
The Verkhovna Rada failed to pass in the first reading the bill (No. 12044) on a new type of financial service providers – financial inclusion banks.
This was announced by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak, noting that 221 MPs voted for the draft law, with the required minimum of 226 votes.
“Such a bank (financial inclusion) must ensure adequate access to financial services for both citizens of Ukraine (in particular socially vulnerable groups of the population) and micro-enterprises in areas close to the combat zone, in liberated territories, as well as in hard-to-reach and sparsely populated areas ( like high mountain regions),” he wrote in
