World champion version WBO in the second featherweight Emanuel Navarrete from Mexico (39-2-1, 32 KOs) successfully defended his title, winning an early victory in a rematch against his compatriot Oscar Valdez (32-3, 24 KOs), reports Sports.kz.

The fight took place on December 8 at the Footprint Center in Phoenix (Arizona, USA) and became the main event of the boxing evening from the promotion company Top Rank.

Navarrete knocked down Valdez in the first round, and in the fourth round he repeated the success, again putting his opponent on the floor of the ring. In the sixth round, the champion delivered a decisive blow to the body, ending the fight with a knockout.

Let us remember that in their first fight, which took place in August 2023, Navarrete won by unanimous decision.
