The Russian army has developed a new monitoring system “Kalinka” for detecting enemies drones. It is used to capture UAVs that are connected to various types of satellite systems, including Starlink.
This was reported by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
In particular, the head of the Russian Center for Unmanned Systems and Technologies, Andriy Bezrukov, said on December 14 that the agency had developed the Kalinka monitoring system to detect drones connecting to satellite systems, including Starlink.
According to him, the Russian army is currently testing this system in Ukraine. The novelty can detect Ukrainian air and sea drones at a distance of up to 15 kilometers.
