The Russian offensive to the south of Kupyansk is gradually expanding.
According to British intelligence, the Russian occupation army intensified its attack on Kupyansk, Kharkiv region, reaching the Oskil River south of the city. Thus, the occupiers cut the logistics lines on the eastern bank of the river.
This is stated in the message of the British Ministry of Defense.
“The Russian offensive to the south of Kupyansk is gradually expanding, Russia is trying to increase the pressure on the Ukrainian forces in this area,” British intelligence emphasizes.
That is why, last month, the Ukrainian authorities issued an order to evacuate the civilian population from Kupyansk and the surrounding areas.
According to estimates of the Kupyansk military administration, 4,000 civilians remained in the Kupyansk region. The pre-war population was 27,000 people.
