The Russians want to capture Pokrovsk in Donetsk region

The Russian army did not abandon the plan to seize Pokrovsk in Donetsk region, so it regrouped and is trying to realize the goal from the south.
Lieutenant General Ihor Romanenko said this on the air of the FREEDOM TV channel.
He noted that about half of the battles between the occupiers and the Defense Forces of Ukraine are currently taking place precisely in the Kurakhiv and Pokrovsky directions of Donetsk region.
This indicates that the enemy is aiming to capture the Pokrovsky Defense District.
He noted that the frontal attack on Pokrovsk, which was carried out by the Russians for two months, failed: the defense forces resisted, so the enemy changed the direction of the main attack.
