The sale of energy drinks may be limited in the Kirov region on November 21

Bills to introduce additional restrictions on the sale of energy drinks have been submitted to the regional parliament. The text of the initiatives appeared on the website of the Legislative Assembly of the Kirov Region.

On Thursday, November 21, deputies of the Legislative Assembly will make a decision on two draft laws submitted for consideration. The first provides for a ban on the sale of non-alcoholic tonic and energy drinks in educational, healthcare, sports and cultural institutions.

In addition, a separate initiative proposes to establish fines for violators. For citizens it will be from 1 to 2 thousand rubles, for officials – from 2 to 4 thousand rubles, and for legal entities – from 20 to 50 thousand rubles. If the standards are adopted, they will come into force in the region from March 1, 2025.
