The SBU and the National Police detained a criminal group that was planning an assassination attempt on a family of volunteers from Cherkasy region. The incident happened thanks to the timely intervention of the services.

A group of attackers tried to kill a volunteer, the head of a charitable foundation, and her husband, a demobilized soldier of the Armed Forces, using improvised explosive devices.
According to the investigation, the attempt was allegedly motivated by a debt for repair work, which the criminals invented to extort money from the victims. The planned attack involved throwing explosives into the bedroom where the volunteers were staying.
