ACA fighter from Russia Ali Bagov told why Irish Ian Garry failed to achieve victory by choke over Shavkat Rakhmonov in the fifth round of their tournament bout UFC 310 in Las Vegas on December 8, writes Sports.kz.
“I knew that they wouldn’t strangle him, because Shavkat is strong and resilient. It was in the fifth round, so he wouldn't have been able to choke him out. If it had been in the second or third round, then it would have been difficult for Shavkat. And so, the fifth round, the man is already tired. He won’t be able to take a painful hold if the opponent is strong, and Shavkat is strong and resilient. I was confident that he would win,” Bagov said in a conversation with Namys Fighting.
