The “Servant of the People” called for the speedy adoption of the law on the completion of power units of the Khmelnytsky NPP
It is necessary to adopt a law as soon as possible, which will allow the construction of two power units of the Khmelnytskyi nuclear power plant to be completed.
This was stated by People's Deputy Anatoly Kostyukh from “Servant of the People” in a commentary for RBC-Ukraine.
According to the deputy, this project is a historic chance for Ukraine. The implementation of the plan will take place jointly with partners from the USA and the EU, without the use of budget funds – exclusively at the expense of loans and own resources of the Energoatom company.
“Thanks to this law, we will be able to put into operation two power units with a total capacity of 2.2 GW. This is the cheapest type of energy, and all nuclear plants belong to the state. NPPs are a guarantee of stable electricity supply in Ukraine,” the deputy emphasized.
