People's Deputy Sergei Nagornyak said that the completion of the 3rd and 4th power units of the Khmelnytsky NPP is a key step for the energy security of Ukraine. According to him, the adoption of the corresponding bill in the Verkhovna Rada will allow work to begin as quickly as possible and add 2,200 megawatts to the country’s energy system.

“The construction of the 3rd and 4th power units of the KhNPP is a strategic task. The sooner we adopt this law, the faster the countdown for the implementation of the project will begin. It takes 4 years to complete the 3rd unit, which is 70% ready, and about 5 years for the 4th block,” Nagornyak noted.
