NASA's Parker Solar Probe remained intact after touching the Sun. Forbes reports this.
It is noted that the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration received a signal from the heavily armored vehicle on Christmas Eve, when it emerged from behind the Sun three days after its approach to the star. Before this, the probe was without communication for several days.
According to NASA, the signal was received at 05:00 on Friday, December 27, 2024. Detailed telemetry data is expected to arrive on January 1st:
