The state must prevent debt paralysis in the energy market,

The government, parliament and the National Energy Commission must save the energy sector from paralysis due to the existing multi-billion dollar debts, which are constantly increasing.

Adrian Prokip, an expert on the Energy program at the Ukrainian Institute of the Future analytical center, writes about this on Facebook.

“For two years, the Ukrainian energy system has been under targeted attacks from Russian missiles and drones. Despite dozens of massive and hundreds of small attacks, we are still left with light. And the problem can come from somewhere we didn’t expect – these are debts,” Prokip said.

According to him, the energy market may be paralyzed due to accumulated debts and a wave of claims between companies demanding payment of debt and seizure of accounts by the executive service.
