The story of a Ukrainian woman who opened a restaurant in Germany
Natalya Sergienko moved to Germany 11 years ago. She was born in Sumy region, but also lived in Kharkiv before moving to the EU. Recently, she and her family opened the Mavka restaurant in Frankfurt. Germany is not the easiest country to run your own business, but the Ukrainian woman wanted to make her dream come true. Her business is a good example of how women are integrated into German society.
In an interview for TSN.ua, she talked about the tastes of Germans, their openness to experiments, and the reaction of Ukrainians to the appearance of the establishment.

Ukrainians are often excited by the number of bureaucratic procedures in Germany. How was your experience?
I did not expect that it would be so difficult, although I am ready for different challenges. When I moved to Germany, I didn't have, let's say, temporary protection (known as “paragraph 24” – ed.), so I thought that…
