The UN General Assembly adopted an updated resolution on human rights in the occupied territories of Ukraine.
The Human Rights Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine reported this on December 17.
“An important decision of the UN General Assembly regarding human rights violations by Russia in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. The UN General Assembly adopted a resolution calling on the Russian Federation to stop the war of aggression and withdraw all its troops from our territory,” said Dmytro Lubinets.
Which countries opposed the resolution
81 countries voted for the resolution of the UN General Assembly, 80 state representatives abstained.
14 countries opposed it, including Belarus, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Eritrea, Iran, China, Cuba, Mali, Nicaragua, Niger, North Korea, Russia, Sudan and Zimbabwe.
