The world's oldest man's simple diet includes four staples – Nutrition

The diet of 112-year-old Joao Mariño Neto, who was officially declared the oldest man in the world, has been revealed, Sports.kz reports with reference to the “Championship”.

He has six children, 22 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Edgar Rodriguez, the coordinator of the nursing home where the oldest man now lives, revealed the diet of his important resident.

According to him, his diet includes four main foods:


coffee in the morning;
fruits;
brown sugar;
homemade chicken.

João Marinho Neto prefers natural, minimally processed products. Four of his favorite foods have been shown to have beneficial effects on health: coffee is a powerful antioxidant, fruit is rich in vitamins and minerals, brown sugar is healthier than its classic counterpart, and home-grown chicken is preferable to industrial meat.
