The Armed Forces left part of the captured territory in the region.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine left part of the territory in Kursk region and retreated to more advantageous positions for striking enemy positions. A maneuver war is currently underway in the region.
General, former head of the Foreign Intelligence Service Mykola Malomuzh stated this on the air of the FREEDOM TV channel.
“We left part of the territory, but we did not set the task of standing as a full line of defense… The Russians say that they restored (control – Ed.) somewhere on 400-500 square kilometers. They did not restore it. We simply withdrew in order not to lose our fighters, and on the other hand, of course, to maneuver and strike in more favorable conditions,” the expert explained.
According to Malomuzha, the task of organizing a stable line of defense in Kurshchyna was not feasible. That is why the Defense Forces are currently performing tasks of maneuver warfare on this part of the front.
