There is a way to detect asteroids that can destroy the Earth – Science and IT

When calculating the orbit of a potentially dangerous asteroid, even a small miscalculation can be fatal.

A Spanish scientist from the University of Murcia, Professor Oscar del Barco Novillo, has come up with an equation to detect killer asteroids headed for our planet.

This was reported by The Daily Mail with reference to the scientist's study published in the Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society

The equation is based on the gravitational bending of light and will allow scientists to accurately determine the position of minor objects in the solar system, including any asteroids that may collide with Earth, and prepare for them.
