Chris Wootton, managing director of home cleaning company Poppies, has revealed the 'golden rule' for removing toilet stains, the Express writes.

To properly remove limescale, Chris suggests using white vinegar as a natural cleaning solution.

“The best way to make a strong acidic solution is to use white vinegar. Take half a glass of baking soda and sprinkle it on problem areas. Then apply white vinegar to the baking soda. This results in a fizzing reaction that activates the acid and can break down even the most stubborn limescale deposits. After about 10 minutes, thoroughly clean the toilet with a sponge,” says the expert.
