This week, the Verkhovna Rada plans to consider the government's draft law #11146 on the completion of the construction of two power units at the Khmelnytskyi NPP.
This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the draft agenda of the plenary meetings of the Council.
The project to complete units 3 and 4 of the Khmelnytsky NPP was supported by the USA and the EU. The IAEA has already announced that it will provide technical and consulting support for the completion of the blocks.
According to the Rating group, 80% of surveyed Ukrainians support the government's decision to complete the construction of two power units of the Khmelnytsky NPP.
As reported, in the spring of 2024, the government approved the decision to complete the construction of the Khmelnytsky NPP. Subsequently, this decision was supported by the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Energy.
