Three puppies from Tatarstan arrived in the Kirov region to serve in correctional institutions, the press service of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Kirov region shared.

The dogs will work in IK-33, IK-6 and the Escort Department. The head of the canine service of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Kirov Region, Andrei Simonov, spoke about them:

The German shepherds Ritsa, Royce and Reima are four months old, they are very active, eat well, and are interested in everything. In the near future they will begin mastering a general training course – following commands and overcoming obstacles. Then they will have a special course – investigative work, searching and detaining criminals in open areas, in transport and indoors. Afterwards, the “recruits” will have to pass an exam.
