Tragedy in the Rivne region: a child died as a result of a sandslide

Local residents tried to resuscitate him on their own.

In the village of Snovidovichi, a 13-year-old boy was buried in sand at the local landfill, as a result of which he died.

This was reported by the police of the Rivne region.

A sandslide occurred at a local landfill while three children were there.

“At that time, a landslide occurred and the 13-year-old fell asleep. His 12-year-old brother immediately ran to the village to notify the adults about the incident, and his 14-year-old friend began to rake the sand on his own,” the department said.

Local residents got the child and performed resuscitation measures, but it was not possible to save him.

The police noted that a pre-trial investigation is currently underway.
