At the meeting of the foreign ministers of the European Union countries in Brussels, no one except the representative of Slovakia supported Hungary’s idea of a “Christmas truce” between Ukraine and the Russian Federation. This was announced by Budapest Foreign Minister Petr Szijjártó in a commentary for Telex.
He believes that the EU does not want a ceasefire in Ukraine and is “ignoring the situation on the battlefield.” According to him, European diplomats continue to push “the previous strategy.”
“They don't care that Christmas is coming,” Szijjártó said.
