On Wednesday, December 18, US President-elect Donald Trump called it a “great idea” to turn Canada into the 51st American state.
He wrote about this on his platform Truth Social.
“No one can answer why we subsidize Canada to the tune of over $100,000,000 a year? It doesn't make sense! Many Canadians want Canada to become the 51st state,” he wrote.
