The WSJ reported that one of the options for Donald Trump’s “peace plan” to end the war in Ukraine could be a refusal to join NATO for at least 20 years. Former commander of US Army Europe Ben Hodges believes such a move would be a terrible mistake.

“This limits Ukrainian choice. Such a limitation is a terrible mistake, in my opinion. Anything that rewards Russian aggression will rule for a terrible mistake. I think that each of your listeners knows that you cannot trust Russia, you cannot make any agreement with it agreements.
