Two elderly Kirov residents organized a vigil on the roof of an apartment building

Residents of one of the Kirov houses are outraged by the quality and pace of work on the overhaul of their building. The details were shared in the regional branch of the Popular Front.

In November 2024, two pensioners were forced to independently defend their house from heavy rainfall at 44 Oktyabrsky Prospekt. The leaky roof had long ceased to save residents from leaks.

Almost a year earlier, the contractor began repairs, but the work, costing 6 million rubles, dragged on for several months. Moreover, extensive flooding occurred in July. Three apartments and an entrance were damaged.

Residents fear becoming victims of disaster again. Therefore, older women have to scoop rainwater and snow from the attic. It is there that everything that seeps through 15-centimeter cracks in the roof accumulates on a manually fixed awning.
