Ukraine can open the Lviv airport as early as 2025 – broker – Ukraine
Ukraine at war may reopen its first civilian airport in Lviv to restore air services that have been suspended across the country since Russia's 2022 invasion.
Ukraine plans to resume air traffic in 2025, starting from Lviv airport. Insurance companies are ready to support this initiative, provided there is an adequate level of security.
Reuters writes about this with reference to the comment of the senior partner of insurance broker Marsh McLennan Crispin Ellison.
“If the regulators agree that it is safe to open and there is a political decision, the insurance industry is ready to support recovery efforts,” Ellison said.
