Ukraine evacuated 34 people from Syria – details of the operation from GUR – Ukraine
34 people were evacuated from Syria – 31 citizens of Ukraine and three Syrians.
Today, on December 21, as a result of a successful operation, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine evacuated 34 people from the territory of Syria through Lebanon.
This was reported by the press service of the GUR.
We managed to evacuate 31 citizens of Ukraine and three citizens of Syria – relatives of Ukrainians with a legal right to enter the territory of our state. Among the evacuees – 15 children.
Evacuated citizens have already landed at Chisinau airport, from where they will go home to Ukraine.
“I thank the Military Intelligence of Ukraine and the Embassy of Ukraine in Lebanon for the opportunity to return to Ukraine and see my relatives – for the first time in 10 years,” said the evacuated citizen of Ukraine.
