Ukraine applied sanctions against Ivanishvili and his accomplices.
President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky signed a decree imposing sanctions against part of the Georgian authorities. The head of state announced this in a video message.
“I just signed a decree that gives force to the decision of the National Security and Defense Council on sanctions. These are sanctions against that part of the government now in Georgia that is handing Georgia over to Putin. This is precisely what there are protests against in Georgia now,” he said.
According to Zelensky, it is important that partners now also talk about their position and honestly state what is happening.
