Ukraine is still losing the war with Russia: the Netherlands assessed the progress of hostilities
In the Netherlands, they believe that at the moment it is not worth starting negotiations on ending the war in Ukraine.
The head of the Ministry of Defense of the Netherlands, Ruben Breckelmans, said that currently Ukraine will lose the war to the Russian aggressors, who retain the upper hand on the battlefield.
He said this during the debate in the parliament regarding the country's defense budget, reports BNR.
“You can even say that Ukraine will lose the war. And we are dealing with the results of the elections (in the USA – ed.), which turn things around quite a lot, because we know that the new president, Donald Trump, made statements about how he feels about of Ukraine and how he will force the parties to sit down at the negotiating table,” he said.
At the same time, the minister noted that it is not necessary to start negotiations on ending the war in Ukraine at the moment.
