The unbroken bridge through which Ukraine lost the war – the historian talked about the mistake of the past and made an analogy with the present.

Ukraine lost the war because of an intact bridge. And we are not talking about Chongar or the Antoniv bridge, but about events more than a century ago, during the November Revolution of 1918, when the Western Ukrainian People's Republic declared independence.

The instructive story was recalled by veteran and retired major, historian Yuriy Yuzych on his Facebook.

“The bridge over which Ukraine lost the war. This is probably the only creation of Gustave Eiffel on the historical Ukrainian lands. The same one we know as the creator of the Eiffel Tower in Paris,” the historian writes.

It is about the railway bridge in Przemyśl (modern Poland) across the Sian River.
