Ukraine must build both nuclear and distributed generation, there are no contradictions here,

Ukraine should not choose whether to build distributed or nuclear generation, we must build everything, and we have all the resources for this. Therefore, deputies should support as quickly as possible the bill on the completion of power units 3 and 4 of the Khmelnitsky nuclear power plant.

This was stated by MP Sergei Nagornyak in a commentary to RBC-Ukraine.

According to him, discussions around this issue are ongoing due to different approaches to restoring the energy system. Some deputies note the need to focus on distributed generation, which includes mobile gas stations, in order to reduce the vulnerability of the power grid to attacks. However, Ukraine must simultaneously develop both nuclear energy and distributed generation.
