Ukraine received 1 billion dollars from Japan and Britain: details — Politics


The funds raised will be directed to strengthening the country's economy and financing priority expenditures in the social and humanitarian spheres.

Ukraine received a tranche of $1 billion from Japan and Great Britain.

This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal.

According to the report, the tranche came under the guarantees of the governments of both countries as part of the DPL (Development Policy Loan) program of the World Bank.

“We thank the World Bank, the governments of Japan and Great Britain for their strong support to Ukraine and their contribution to strengthening our stability,” Shmyhal emphasized.

It will be recalled that Ukraine received 1.1 billion dollars from the IMF. This is the sixth tranche under the joint program under the EFF Enhanced Financing Facility.
