Ukraine will receive another IMF tranche: details — Ukraine


The funds will be used to finance important budget expenditures.

Ukraine will receive an IMF tranche in the amount of $1.1 billion – the executive board of the International Monetary Fund completed the sixth review of the program within the framework of the Enhanced Financing Mechanism (EFF).

This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal in Telegram.

Thus, the amount of total payments to Ukraine under this program from the beginning of its operation will amount to about $9.8 billion.

“I thank the team of the International Monetary Fund for consistently helping our country in difficult times,” Shmyhal said.

It will be recalled that Shmyhal stated that Ukraine's position regarding the possibility of continuing the transit of Russian gas to Europe remained unchanged. It will be discontinued at 7:00 a.m. on January 1, 2025.
