Ukraine's losses in the war: Zelensky, Trump and foreign media cite different data
At the beginning of 2024, in February, the president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi revealed the losses of Ukraine. At the time, he noted that 31,000 Ukrainian soldiers had died since the beginning of the full-scale war with the Russian Federation.
In their materials, foreign media published other data, in particular, they mentioned the US assessment, which was announced in the summer of 2023, according to which Ukrainian losses as of February 24, 2022 tentatively amount to about 70,000 killed and 100,000-120,000 wounded.
In December, Zelensky said that Ukraine had lost 43,000 soldiers, but Trump announced a completely different figure.
