Ukrainian phoenixes – pink flamingos from Ukraine discovered in Italy – UNIAN
The Odessa region is already expecting the spring migration of birds, in particular pink flamingos.
In Italy, pink flamingos, also known as “phoenixes,” were discovered, which were born and “ringed” in the Tuzlovsky Estuaries National Natural Park (Ukraine, Odessa region).
According to Doctor of Biological Sciences, employee of the park Ivan Rusev, the Italian Salvatore Celis, who recorded birds with the number UA 06 in their homeland, spoke about flamingos.
The scientist explains that this number is printed on special rings that were placed on the paws of chicks born in the reserve last year.
