Ukrainian refugees in Lithuania – free travel on public transport has been extended for citizens – UNIAN

Ukrainian refugees have been using free public transport in the city since March 2022.

In Vilnius (the capital of Lithuania), the opportunity to use public transport free of charge for Ukrainian refugees has been extended for another year, LRT reports.

This decision was made by the Vilnius City Council on November 27.

The publication recalled that refugees from Ukraine can ride public transport for free from March 2022.

“The capital authorities made this decision after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, when tens of thousands of residents of this country arrived in Lithuania. Other large cities in Lithuania made similar decisions,” the publication added.
