Ukrainian women won the historic “silver” of the Fencing World Cup in team rapier

Ukrainian women's rapier fencing team won the team “silver” at the stage of the World Cup in Tunisia.

In the final, the Ukrainian team consisting of Daria Myronyuk, Alina Polozyuk, Olga Sopit and Kateryna Budenko lost to the Japanese team (22:24), which won bronze at the 2024 Olympic Games.

On the way to the match for gold, Ukrainian women defeated Hungary (45:38) in the 1/8 finals, and Italy (45:43) in the quarterfinals, which is the leader of the world ranking, the current world champion and the Olympic vice-champion. In the semifinals, Ukrainian rapists defeated France (41:39).

For the first time in history, Ukrainian rapists won the team “silver” of the World Cup.
