Ukrenergo has started the process of restructuring Eurobonds in compliance with the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers
NEC “Ukrenergo” announced the temporary suspension of payments for green sustainable development bonds issued in 2021 under a state guarantee to cover the debt to green energy producers. The process of restructuring Eurobonds has started.
This is stated in the company's message.
The decision was made in compliance with the Law of Ukraine “On Peculiarities of Transactions with State, State-Guaranteed Debt, and Local Debt and State Derivatives” and relevant resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers.
According to the law, the temporary suspension of payments is implemented to ensure the economic security of Ukraine and the sustainability of the public debt. Payments are expected to resume after the restructuring process is completed.
