Revised schedule for reaching retirement age published – milestones by year

In 2018, Russia adopted a consistent increase in the retirement age. This significant change affected all age groups, starting with those born in the mid-1950s and younger. Until this point, the retirement age had not changed since 1932, necessitating reform of the pension system to reflect current economic and demographic realities.
