On Sunday, December 8, the United States carried out dozens of airstrikes against Islamic State targets in central Syria.
This was reported in the US Central Command (CENTCOM).
The message says that these strikes were aimed at preventing the Islamic State from taking advantage of the current situation in Syria and from carrying out its terrorist activities.
“Over 75 targets were engaged during the operation using multiple US Air Force assets, including B-52s, F-15s, and A-10s,” CENTCOM said.
The battle damage assessment is currently underway. As the American military assures, there are no signs of casualties among the civilian population.
