US assistance – Ukraine received almost half a billion dollars from the US and the World Bank – UNIAN

The funds raised will provide assistance payments to IDPs and persons with disabilities.

The state budget of Ukraine received a tranche of $485 million under the World Bank project “Supporting Public Expenditures to Ensure Sustainable Public Administration in Ukraine” (PEACE in Ukraine). This was reported by the Ministry of Finance.

It is noted that of this amount, $465 million is direct budget support from the United States for the current year; $20 million – assistance from the World Bank through the Multi-Donor Trust Fund to co-finance the PEACE in Ukraine project.

The department clarified that funding under PEACE in Ukraine is used to compensate for social and humanitarian expenses of the state budget. The funds raised will help ensure domestic assistance payments…
