US President discussed the war in Ukraine with the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic – UNIAN
Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala spoke about a telephone conversation with the newly elected President of the United States of America Donald Trump, during which they discussed the war in Ukraine.
In an interview with Bloomberg, the politician said that he was pleasantly surprised by this conversation. They discussed Prague's position on the Russian invasion, and then Trump spoke about family ties to the Czech Republic, where his late wife Ivanna was born:
“Mr. Trump wanted to understand our point of view. I think he is very aware that the situation in Ukraine – and in the Middle East – must be resolved, and that the solution will be very difficult.”
