Uzbekistan deprived Kazakhstan of “gold” at the Asian Boxing Championship – Boxing/MMA

The next boxing “el clasico” between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan took place as part of the men’s finals of the Asian Championship in Chiang Mai (Thailand), Sports.kz reports.

In the weight category up to 71 kilograms, who returned to the Kazakhstan national team from professional boxing Ablaykhan Zhusupov contested the possession of the “gold” of the 2024 ChA with Khavasbek Asadullaev and lost to him by a split decision. Moreover, after two rounds the score between the opponents was equal. Thus, Havasbek became the continental champion, and Ablaikhan finished the championship with silver.

Let us note that as an amateur, Ablaikhan Zhusupov took bronze at the World Championships three times, and also became a silver medalist at the 2017 Asian Championships. In the pro ring he has a record of 4-0, 3 KOs.
