Boxer Uzbekistan national team Mujibillo Tursunov booked a ticket to the semi-finals Asian Championship 2024 in Chiang Mai (Thailand), writes Sports.kz.
In the quarterfinals of the weight category up to 67 kilograms, he met Almaz Orozbekov from Kyrgyzstan in the ring and won by unanimous decision, knocking down Orozbekov in the second round. Thus, he reached the semi-finals and was guaranteed at least a bronze medal.
Let us remind you that Kazakhstan is represented at the 2024 Championship by Dulat Bekbauov in the weight category up to 67 kg. Today he also successfully reached the semi-finals, defeating Malaysian Muhammad Arif Aiman ahead of schedule.
The Asian Boxing Championships in Thailand will last until December 11.
