Uzbekistan won a medal in the Asian Boxing Championship in a difficult battle – Boxing/MMA

Boxer of the Uzbekistan national team Sabina Bobokulovacompeting in the weight category up to 50 kilograms, had her opening fight at Asian Championship 2024 in Chiang Mai (Thailand), Sports.kz reports.

She fought with Khulan Altanbek from Mongolia in the quarterfinals and, after three rounds, celebrated her victory by a split decision (4:1), securing herself at least a bronze medal at the Asian Championship.

Sabina Bobokulova is the champion of Asia among juniors and youth, as well as the winner of the continental championship among athletes under 22 years old.

Let us remind you that Alua Balkibekova was supposed to represent Kazakhstan in the weight up to 50 kg at the 2024 Championship in Thailand, but she withdrew from the tournament due to illness.
